Interlocking Brick Making Machine (Hydraulic operated)
As with all Ndume kit, this machine is easy to operate and easy to maintain.
The double push machine is powered by a well proven 16HP Chinese diesel engine. This drives a High Capacity hydraulic pump through a simple belt drive system. The pump has a 50-litre oil reservoir to ensure oil temperatures are kept low. On request the machine can be supplied with an electric motor drive instead of a diesel engine. The machine is operated through one double acting spool valve. The valve pressure is factory set and there is no need to alter it.
Brick Making Operation
It is important to ascertain that the soil type you have is suitable for making good quality bricks.
To operate the machine simply start the engine and make sure the piston is in the fully retracted position. Fill the chamber with your soil/cement/water mixture from the loading bin. Close the lid and extend the hydraulic ram to its full length - you will know this is taking place when the engine starts to labour. The brick is now fully compressed. Next, insert the piston lock into place, open the lid then retract the ram fully. Insert the ram lock plate, and extend the ram to its full length – which will push the brick out of the chamber. This method of operation ensures all bricks are compressed to the correct size. Once the operator masters this sequence this all happens very quickly.
Bricks must be left for 28 days under a plastic cover, and wet daily for the first week to properly cure before building.
Bricks are cheap to produce and easy to work with, no need for mortar between bricks as they can be dry-assembled. The interlocks ensure the bricks fit into each other 100%. The machine is capable of producing over 1000 bricks per day depending on labour force.
Our hydraulic machine bricks can interlock with our manual machine bricks.
